Our charity shop was opened in Summer 2014 as a move towards sustaining the refuge and ensuring we can continue to help families living with domestic abuse. It will become our lead fundraiser and is therefore very important to our survival.
In addition, the shop delivers a service to the local community by supplying good quality, recycled goods and clothes. Many of our items are brand new, still in their packaging.
Caroline and her team of volunteers ensure that the shop has a happy and warm atmosphere where customers are made to feel welcome. Although only recently opened, customers are already known by their first names.
Quality women’s, men’s and children’s clothes are sold at competitive prices, together with toys, baby and toddlers accessories, jewellery, books bric-a-brac, DVDs, CDs gift sets etc. Stock is obviously dependent on donations, therefore changes constantly. Textiles and other items unsuitable for resale are purchased from us by a recycling merchant, nothing gets wasted!
Donations of clothing, bedding, curtains, toys, games, books, prams, jewellery, bric-a-brac, unwanted gift sets etc., can be dropped off between 9.30 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday. We can also accept offers of electrical items and furniture which can be picked up and taken directly to the women in the refuge.

Age, experience and educational background is immaterial,
we just need your enthusiasm and time.
REMEMBER THE SAYING, ONE MAN’S JUNK IS ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE!
PLEASE THINK OF US WHEN YOU’RE HAVING A CLEAROUT.
For larger items, we can arrange to pick up donations,
which will primarily go to the refuge before coming to us.
